Story summary
Robert Bolick earned a second consecutive PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award after helping NLEX advance to the Governors’ Cup semifinals. The latest recognition covered October 27 to 31.
According to Philstar, Bolick averaged 27 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists and two steals during the period. The report also notes his strong shooting from beyond the usual two-point range.
He scored 31 points in the second game of the quarterfinal series against Phoenix, then added 23 in NLEX’s 137–89 third-game victory. The Road Warriors completed a sweep and reached the semifinals for only the third time in the franchise’s history.
Bolick said the team was pleased for its management and supporters but still had work ahead. The next opponent would be either Rain or Shine or Converge. His individual award therefore arrives alongside a team milestone, with the more difficult playoff stages still to come.

Our interpretation, separate from the publisher’s reporting.Individual awards often spotlight the scorer, but a playoff advance depends on how that performance fits the wider team. NLEX’s next challenge is to carry its pace, shooting and shared confidence into a different matchup. The award celebrates a strong week; the semifinals will test its repeatability.
